BTC200 provides complete nutrition and hydration for the ride. Only bring extra nutrition for very specific dietary needs.
At each designated stop nutrition will be ready for you including Gu-Shots, Salt & Nut Rolls, Cliff Bars, Bonk Breaker Bars, Gu-Packs, Gatorade, and other various items.
Bring at least two water bottles that you can use to refill at the stops. We will have extra bottles in the trailer full of water and gatorade that you’ll have access to.
One of the most important facets to the ride, (besides training), is nutrition. You should plan to consume between 30-60 grams of carbohydrates per hour (or 120 to 240 calories). As the duration of the ride increases you need to increase these amounts to 45 – 90 grams of carbs or 180 – 360 calories per hour. Your caloric intake should be through a combination of liquid calories and solid calories. There will be a stop for lunch at the 100 mile mark.
